As a business process outsourcing BPO unit of telecommunications giant Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. PLDT, SP; Technologies, Inc, anticipates an increasing need for health care-related services like medical transcription it will enlarge its business by up to 50 percent, from 500 seats to 750 seats.

The income of the local medical transcription industry increased by $100 million last year and 15 percent to 20 percent growth is anticipated this year.

In a connected development, with BO enterprises from Megaworld Corp's mixed-use development giving jobs to over 12,000 workers, Eastwood City Cyberpark published a 21 percent growth in export incomes last year.

By starting the evolution of the Eastwood City community in Libis, Quezon City in 1996, the enterprise changed its concentration to office building to assist BPOs. The Eastwood City Cyberpark reached the state of the first IT park of Philippines with a special economic zone status in 1999.

The city anticipated BPO incomes to arrive at $1 billion in 2010 in the way that Megaworld develops more offices in the area.

Both BPO enterprises of Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. (PLDT) and Megaworld Corp. anticipate growth in the future. We hope their expectation and anticipation will come true. Via GMANews.tv
