Dagupan gives opportunities for disabled people

Dagupan City has given opportunities for disabled people. City Mayor Alipio Fernadez Jr. has introduced seven persons with disabilities to be the call center agents in Dagupan City Citizen's Helpline.

Moreover, three of the PWDs graduated from the Area-1 Vocational Rehabilitation Center (AVRC) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). They are Eric Marinas, 29 yrs. Old, orthopedically handicapped afflicted with polio; Cristabel Munoz, 31 years old, socialistic; and Alex Garcia, 28 years old who lost his right leg from an accident. Also, Rhdora Parangat is among the hired PWD who is at present the President of the Dagupan City PWD Association.

Furthermore, according to Fernandez those disabled agents undergone comprehensive training so that they could be able to conduct the work in graveyard shift successfully.
