By August last year, Accenture, a global business process outsourcing BPO company, opened its technology delivery center in Cebu City in the Philippines. By late last month, Accenture began operations of the Accenture Customer Care BPO service in the Cebu facility. Looking forward to additional growth in the outsourcing industry, Accenture has enlarged its operations in this central Philippines city of Cebu. The new facility could make room for 500 employees. The presence of Accenture in the Philippines had become important to the operations of Accenture. By 2006, Cebu had II BPOs and 6,000 call center agents, up to more than 20 BPOs that use the services of 18,000 call center agents in 2008. Since 2006, the number of BPOs has almost been doubled and the number of call center agents has been tripled. We hope the number of BPOs and the number of call center agents in Cebu City will either increase or remain the same in the future. |
