Transcom Asia is the leading Business Process Outsourcing Company in Europe. It decided to offer another call center in the Philippines mainly in this metropolis which is scheduled to function in September.

Last week, Siva Subramaniam, Transcom Asia Country Manager, gathered together with local officials here to talk about the details of their approaching operation in the urban. The Sangguniang Panlungsod has permitted the resolution endorsed by Bacolod Councilor Jocelle Batapa-Sigue (chair of the committee on Communications and Energy) as IT Zone in Lopue's South Square will be identified as Transcom Center. According to Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia, the entry of Transcom Asia in the metropolis will obtain approximately 2,000 jobs for Bacoleños. Transcom Asia will initially employ 800 workers. Theywill keep on hiring until they attain the necessary number of employees. Leonardia added that the city's support in terms of security and human resource brought excitement with this development in the city, and they guarantee the company's supervisory. As Transcom Asia ventures in the city, it brings four major call centers. Batapa-Sigue stated that with the aid of the Committee on Communications and Energy and the Bacolod Negros Federation for Information and Communications Techology, the company anticipates the hiring of around 7,000 workers for the call center business in the first part of 2010.
