Tata Group of India, a giant corporation, is now preparing for the operation of 250-300 seats call center in RP. Jonathan de Luzuriaga, executive director for industry affairs for the Business Processing Association of the Philippines, said that the Indian group was currently accomplishing a due-diligence research in the country. They’ve been inadequately devastated by the scarcity of talent in India, so they perform site-hunting in the Philippines as a new location. Mindanao will be the first location, Visayas will be the second, and Luzon will be the third. The group was looking at areas in the Visayas and Mindanao to search for Tata’s facilities. They also look for "Next Wave Cities" for their investments because Manila is already overcrowded. Cyber Corridor Roadshow, a 10-city trip of local areas best matched with BPO operations was launched yesterday by the Commission on Information and Communications Technology. In the Next Wave Cities, the roadshow will be also performed concurrently with BPAP’s Talent Caravan.

Metro Laguna, Metro Cavite, Iloilo, Davao, Bacolod, Angeles-Clark-Mabalacat in Pampanga, Baliuag-Marilao-Meycuayan in Bulacan, Malolos-Calumpit also in Bulacan, Cagayan de Oro, and Lipa in Batangas are integrated in the roadshow and talent motorcade. The company keep on focusing on the BPO segment and the job opportunities that they presented. Ray Anthony Roxas-Chua III, CICT chair, said that the roadshow also aspire to help the residents of these cities be aware of the large benefits of ICT like e-government, human capital development, information infrastructure, and cyber services.
