Smart Entrusts Its Call Center Service to SPi Ventus |

With the changes in Smart's call center requirements, Smart Communications Inc. will entrust its call center service to SPi Ventus (formerly ePLDT Ventus). SPi Ventus has more than 6,000 employees, and supplies a wide variety of contact center services to Fortune 500 customers in the Philippines, the US, Canada and the United Kingdom.
In the Philippines, they also have contact center locations-six in Manila and one in Iloilo. There will be more than 300 employees who will be terminated with the management’s decision but the management promised to to assist the affected employees to get through this transition as smoothly as possible. According to Wo Rosete, Smart external relations manager on public affairs, terminated employees were given a package of benefits that surpassed the legal requirements.
