The Largest Call Center in the Country

Next year, the US-BASED Convergys Corp. is planning to expand the call center in the country so they opened its biggest call center in Makati.

According to Convergys Senior Vice President for Human Resources Clark D. Handy, the demand for more sites in the Philippines continues to develop due to Filipinos’ quality of work and their similarity with Western culture. Handy added that clients had chosen the Philippines because of their skills and the quality of Filipino’s work ethic is tough.

This year, Convergys received positive feedback from client satisfaction survey. By giving a 1 to 5 rating (1 being the lowest and 5 as the highest score), the survey allowed clients to evaluate the services provided by their agents.

ePLDT Signs BPO Deal With Ingram Micro

In 2005, global IT distributor Ingram Micro entered into by contract support services to Indian outsourcing giant Infosys. Soon after that, Infosys subcontracted voice-based services to ePLDT by way of call center unit Ventus of ePLDT.

Late last year, Ingram Micro took preliminary steps toward Ventus to give call center support services for the customers in the US and Canada of the said global IT distributor leading to the signing of a deal with ePLDT.

 
Expansion of Call Center firm in Bacolod

Commission of Information and Communications (CICT) identified Bacolod as one of the 20 next-wave cities ready to accommodate investments in BPO sectors.

Moreover, Excel Aisa is looking at training around 300 near-hires a month in Bacolod City. The training would be free for new hires and for those people who need remedial. Also, they are successful for this office that ExcelAsia have opened in Bacolod.
