With the study made by Raja Mitra, World Bank consultant, it is projected that by the year 2020, the information- technology and business - process outsourcing (IT- BPO) sector services industry has the potential to earn $30 billion to $55 billion. A low-end medium-term export revenue estimate of around $30 billion, the medium-end estimate at $45 billion and the high-end estimate at $55 billion were the three assumptions made. In addition to these revenues and assumptions, Filipinos employed by the industry, whether indirect or indirect will arrive at 6.8 million by same year. If the said industry will truly expand as expected, more new avenues are also expected that will surely help the economy of the country to be more productive and achieve growth not only within the country as well as globally. On the other hand, data given were just only projections, the country has still to provide more IT-related services and use high technology in all its IT-BPO services to make it a reality.
