iQor Inc. is a New York City-based company which is expert in providing call center services for companies around the world.  iQor Inc. announced last Tuesday that a new call center in Plymouth was opened. It will give hundreds of new jobs to the community. The 49,000-square-foot facility at 12755 Highway 55 in the western Twin Cities suburb will need more than 1,000 employees. The 550 employees from a previous iQor call center in St. Louis Park have moved to the new facility to train the new employees. They will hire 60 workers by the end of the year and about 100 more workers next year. Dan McElroy, commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) said "We are pleased that iQor has chosen to expand in Plymouth. These are good-paying jobs that will contribute to the economic growth and vitality of Minnesota."

According to Vikas Kapoor, president and chief executive officer of iQor, the company decided to develop in Plymouth because the Twin Cities area has been a wonderful market and will continue to be a key part of their global footprint. iQor call centers manage firms in five countries with specialization in customer care, customer retention and revenue recovery services for large and mid-sized companies.

The company gained 40 percent increase in revenue in the past four years, has 12 facilities in US which includes Plymouth facility (the second major company to expand in Plymouth this year), and operations in Canada, India, Great Britain and the Philippines.
