In the recent list of the Philippines Top 10 next wave cities best outsourcing sites, Iloilo City has made it following closely to Metro Laguna and Metro Cavite. The next wave cities are able in providing information to investors and stakeholders in locations across the Philippines, other than Metro Manila and Metro Cebu, this is according to a joint report developed by the Commission on Information and Communications Technology (CICT), the Business Processing Association of the Philippines (BPAP) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).In a recent report, Iloilo City has a potential that amplified its bid as the next important business haven and BPO center not only in the Visayas but also throughout the country.

Iloilo ranked third in the report. Aside from Iloilo, the other places like Davao, Bacolod, Angeles-Clark-Mabalacat area, Baliuag-Marilao-Meycauayan area, Cagayan de Oro, Malolos-Calumpit area and Lipa are recognized. 

Those areas attained their scores for the quality of their roads, easy entrée to international and domestic flights, occurrence of hotels, presence of fiber optic providers, cost of labor, office space, power rates and reliability of power supply, vulnerability to natural disturbances, crime rates, presence of Peza sites and ICT councils. TeleTech mentioned Iloilo as the second most essential site out of the six TeleTech sites in the world which includes United States, Canada, South Africa, Argentina and Pampanga, Philippines. Treñas stated that TeleTech feels happy with the quality of students produced by Iloilo universities and colleges that finally become a group of prospective quality call center agents.
