The Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Association in Negros Oriental in partnership with member-companies of the Business Processing Association of the Philippines (BPAP) invite individuals who wish to become call center agents. Scholarship programs will be given to qualified applicants. These scholarship programs are being managed by the information technology-business process outsourcing industry-based training for work scholarship program. According to ICT Dumaguete president Randy Bandiola, 900 slots for scholarship will be offered by three Tesda accredited schools. Metro Dumaguete College is now starting for admission of 400 scholars, while the remaining 500 slots will be handled by Philippine Call Center Institute (PCCI) and Science Technology Institute (STI). Bandiola further said the ICT association had established linkages with schools and LGUs to recruit more potential ICT workers in the province. According to deputy director general Teodoro Pascua of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) P4.5 million budget was allotted for the TWSP. The training includes voice or call center training and non-voice BPO training for legal, health, care information management, publishing, animation, game development and software development.
