A health insurance call center will be built in Salt Lake City. The provider will be C3. IAC (InterActiveCorp.) owns Plantation, Florida based C3. This project must be accomplished to help many Utahns who can speak at least one foreign language. This will employ 200 people. The employees will accept calls from people who want to purchase health insurance. According to Vice President Alicia Laszew, people would be taking inbound calls and they expect customers would be calling in and the employees will handle the transaction. The compensation starts at $10.50 per hour and may increase to $12 after 90 days. C3 will hire operations manager, supervisors, and quality-assurance representatives. People with sales licenses that are valid before 2011 will receive $500 signing bonuses. Qualified applicants who are eager to earn a license will receive paid training in lieu of the signing bonus. C3 has call centers in Twin Falls, Idaho; Ashland, Ohio; Scranton, Pa.; Boca Raton, Fla.; San Jose, Costa Rica; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Mumbai, India; and Manila, Philippines. C3 had leased a 40,000-square-foot building at Wiley Post Way for five years. [via sltrib.com] |
