Sykes Enterprises, Tampa's outsourcing firm, will shut down a call center located in Calgary, Alberta. It was four years back when the company procured the Canadian business. When Sykes filed a document to Securities and Exchange Commission, the firm had mentioned the low operating results. The weakening customer support and loss of key employees resulted to the closure of the call center. In March 2005, Sykes acquired the shares of Kelly, Luttmer & Associates (KLA) site amounting to $3.2 million. On or before June 30, 2010 is the schedule of company’s closing. About $2.1 million to $2.8 million will be incurred in the duration of the company’s closing. [via] |
