BPO's Target Clients are European

Industry experts said that US may no longer grant many clients, so call center companies in the Philippines should tap markets in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and other Asia-Pacific countries. During the 2009 Call Center Conference and Expo in Pasay City, Martin Dove, the managing director of Dimension Data's CIS Global said, Don't put all your eggs in the US basket. US has been the primary market of call center companies in the Philippines, but the economic downturn had put pressure on companies. US President Barack Obama has also guaranteed to agree to a policy that will take back jobs to the Americans by giving enticements to US-based companies wherein they must not outsource their business necessity to other countries.

According to Amit Badami, the founder of Emerging Markets Research Group Ltd. Economic, European companies cannot identify the country’s ability in BPO industry. The country should follow the example of National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM), the software and services industry association of India, which is very active in the region. NASSCOM has been well-established in Europe, said Badami. To promote the company, the Philippines' incredible track record must be translated from US to Europe to allow the brand to be recognized in the county.

Language Skills

The language capabilities of the Filipino call center agents are another limitation to get the slice of the European market. Build companies for non-English speaking regions like Germany, Switzerland, the Scandinavian and Baltic states. Next to India and Canada, Philippines is the 3rd leading outsourcing destinations in the world.
