Aegis People Support, a BPO company owned by Indian nationals, plans to have an expansion with good pool of talent and business-friendly infrastructure in Cebu. The company has 38 branches in different countries worldwide with 2 offices in the Philippines, one in Manila and the other in Cebu.  During the unveiling of the street sign of India Street in the Asiatown I.T. Park yesterday, the representatives of Aegis People Support said that they are very glad that they are in the Philippines particularly in Cebu . Rajiv Ahuja, the chief operations officer of Aegis People Support, said that the construction of their Phase 1 two-storey building will be finished by December 2010 wherein about 5,000 to 6,000 employees will be hired. According to Mr. Bong Borja, president of Aegis People Support, the construction of the Phase 2 building will be ended by March 2011. The company also plans to emerge in new wave cities based on BPAP studies.

Here in the Phils., more Indian nationals are attracted to invest not only in BPO but also in garments, call centers, and mining. For instance, the owner of IndoPhil, a textile company in Bulacan declared that they will be investing $100 million in other business ventures. Truly, India is a key market for the Philippines. Filipinos can also sell their products like electronics, semi-conductors, garments and others to Indians. [via globalnation.inquirer.net]
