A business process outsourcing (BPO) firm, Advanced Contact Solutions, Inc. (ACS) is owned by Paxys, Inc. Paxys is owned by Hong Kong-based All Asia Customer Services Holdings Ltd. which is affianced in outsourced payroll processing and transcription. In our country, ACS has six contact centers with 7,118 seats. Call centers are located in Makati, Quezon City, Lipa, and Cabuyao, Laguna.

At present, they have 6,000 employees. They retrench 1% of its workforce last Oct. 15 because certain support positions are redundant and no longer required. It will be called manpower rationalization program in order to improve the company's operations. The lay-off process implemented by ACS management is done thru systematic evaluation of support personnel in comparison with existing effective requirements. Last 2008, in some uncertain reports, ACS had cut back almost 900 call center agents even they are planning to employ more. But according to a workers' group who reported to Department of Labor and Employment, the nearly 900 workers laid off because ACS lost a main American client which lead to liquidation.
