There are 450 jobs to be added by an international call center company to its Tucson office. The cause of additional jobs is the growth of one of its main clients, APAC Customer Services Inc. It already employs 750 people at its call center located near East 22nd Street and at South Pantano Road. So the need to hire more people who will handle inbound customer service calls have arised. Shayne Farrell, APAC's vice president of operations said that they find themselves very fortunate in this economy because they we're able to hire inspite of the news every day of companies laying people off. The 450 positions which are full-time will have a initial rate of $9.50 per hour. Employees will be given opportunity to take home performance bonuses. All jobs have complete benefits which include life insurance and 401k.

However the company prefer those people with previous experience in customer services. The company will hire applicants with a wide variety of skills. They have had attorneys and directors of HR come in to apply for positions. They are starting to meet people from all different fields. [via]
