The famous StarTek of Denver Colorado with 20 sites in North America is now in the Philippines. They are currently building 7,200 square-meters in Makati City . It will employ 1,100 workers.
According to Larry Jones, CEO of StarTek, Philippines has a large pool of skilled workers, excellent telecommunications infrastructure and lower costs vis a vis other sites.
Philippines is lucky to have StarTek since this is the first expansion of it outside the North America. This project is an advantage for the Filipinos who are good in English and at the same time are in need of a good work with an ideal salary to sustain their needs. [ via] |
