BPO-IT campus in Cavite

Sutherland Global Services was launched in the Philippines in 2005 and its fast expansion continues with 13,000 BPO agents at present. As one of the world's largest BPO companies, the company will continue with its major expansion in the southern part of Metro Manila. The successful BPO firm will invest $50 million to build a BPO-IT campus which will be located in Carmona, Cavite. This campus will be the core server of their clients worldwide.

 
BPO hub: soon in SBMA

SBMA has plans of having a business process outsourcing (BPO) hub just like the Techno Hub in University of the Philippines-Ayala, QC. SBMA Chairman Roberto Garcia believed that they can now provide BPO services since they have sufficient number of workers who are well-trained in the field of ICT. The former US naval base infrastructure has been developed technically to allow BPO transactions in Zambales area.

Healthcare for BPO Employees

BPO firms should adhere to the new policies of Department of Labor and Employment Circular No. 1-2008 which states that companies must protect their workers from work health risks. According to DOLE Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz, business-process outsourcing (BPO) industry must follow the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) programs. The said program will help the BPO firms to monitor the health problems in the workplace.

 
Wells Fargo outsources to Philippines

The ongoing political debate in the US government will disallow the outsourcing of back office jobs in the Philippines. This situation made the Filipinos improve their call center facility in the country. The present BPO facility in McKinley Hill Cyberpark in Taguig City was established by US-based Wells Fargo & Co. The company plans for its expansion to further improve their customer services.
